***Hi guys! This is a Percy Jackson/Greek mythology based story, so good idea to read Percy Jackson (or learn about Greek mythology). Special thanks to Nikita315 for suggesting the main idea to the story!
This is set before the Percy Jackson series. Enjoy!***
Birth of the Daughter of Artemis (and other stuff)
My name is Amelia Johnson, Daughter of Artemis
I know you’re thinking What? Isn’t Artemis a strictly no-love goddess? How could she have a child? Because, once, just once, she fell in love with a mortal man (who ended up being my father).
His name was Daniel Johnson. Daniel was pretty everything Artemis was, swift, a good hunter, and strong. Artemis met him once when she travelled to a town to look for girls who wanted to join the Hunt. Artemis secretly liked him, but was slightly worried and confused. She was a maiden goddess; why was she having feelings for a mortal
Eventually Artemis left the Hunters of Artemis to camp for a few weeks in a forest without Artemis, and she left, pretending that she was leaving to visit Mount Olympus for something. Artemis sneaked back to the town where Daniel lived, and they fell in love with each other.
After Artemis returned to her followers, the Hunters noticed that she seemed slightly different. Artemis isolated herself, only talking when needed, and seemed kind of odd. None of the Hunters said anything, because they didn’t want to say anything that offended her in some way.
The reason Artemis was alone a lot because she found out she was pregnant (with me). Artemis didn’t know what to do, because she couldn’t admit that she loved Daniel, because then everyone would know that Artemis broke her vow to be a maiden forever. Artemis didn’t know anything about having a baby, and she didn’t know how to hide and take care of her unborn baby.
Artemis went to some nymphs in a distant valley (making up some excuse to her Hunters again), and asked them to help her. She promised them immortality if they helped her, but Artemis said that if they told anyone, she’d shoot them with her bow, over and over again (since they would be immortal). The nymphs agreed to help Artemis, and to keep her secret. Something like 9 months later, bam! Amelia Johnson (me) was born!
I was brought up by the immortal nymphs that helped Artemis, and I had a nice peaceful life in the valley. I didn’t do much there. Not many monsters attacked me there, so pretty much everything was calm.
Artemis returned to the Hunters, and never visited me, except once. When I was 7, Artemis came back and delivered me a warning.
‘Amelia, you must not tell ANYONE that you are my daughter. No one in the world apart from you, me, Daniel and these nymphs here should know that you are my daughter’ Artemis said to me. I asked her who Daniel was, and Artemis explained that Daniel was my father, because up until then I hadn’t known who my father was.
Around about 11 years old, monsters began to attack me. It’s a little late for a demigod for weird things to happen at 11, but the place where I was brought up was quite a secluded spot.
The nymphs got tired of all the monsters attacking all the time, so they asked Artemis whether I could go to Camp Half-Blood. Artemis agreed, and then I arrived at Camp Half-Blood, a satyr guiding me to Half-Blood Hill at the age of 12.
And that’s pretty much my childhood. Next time, I’ll tell you about my life at Camp Half-Blood.
But now, I’ll need to go.

***Hello readers! I don’t know whether this is going to have more parts coming afterwards, like the Hunger Games story I did. I would like to write more parts to Daughter of Artemis, but I don’t know what would happen. Anyone have an idea for what could happen later on?***
