HOW TO ADD A VIDEO TO A BLOG POST:
- Go to Youtube, and find the video you want to add to your blog post
- Under the ‘Subscribe’ button, cliock the ‘Share’ button (that’s where it is on a computer, anyway)
- A link will pop, and a bar that says ‘Share, Embed, Email’ will also pop up. Click ‘Embed’
- Copy the new link
- Go back onto your blog post
- Near the top right corner, you will see two tabs. One says Visual, and one say Text. Click onto ‘Text’
- Paste the link in
- Switch back to ‘Visual’. You should see the video there (or a big gray box. That’s what I see on my computer, anyways)
- You may want to say where you got the video from (if it’s music, you might want to say who it’s by. If it’s something else, you might want to say who posted it). You don’t have to, but that’s what I do (since it’s not mine)
HOW TO ADD A GIF
(If you don’t know what a GIF is, here is a one. It’s a random Harry Potter GIF)
- Go onto GIPHY (you don’t have to, but I find it easier to)
- Find a GIF you want
- Click on the GIF
- Underneath, find the bar that says ‘Iframe embed’. Copy the link beside it
- Go back to your blog post
- Click the ‘Text’ tab in the top right corner, next to the ‘Visual’ tab
- Paste the link in
- Switch back to the ‘Visual’ tab. You should see the GIF there (or a big gray box). This time, you don’t need to say where you got the GIF from, because it’s already there
