***Gone, Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus spoilers***
After I finished reading the Gone series (which was a while ago), I realised how similar Gone and Percy Jackson were. Here is proof:
The main character is a boy who is brave (Sam/Percy). The next main character/girlfriend of the main character is a really smart girl (Astrid/Annabeth). A third main character, who was a boy, was there, but was put to the side more as other characters came in (Quinn/Grover).
There’s a boy who seems nice at first. But really, he’s a bad guy. He was abandoned by his parents. In the end, he dies to set things right, and dies a heroic death (Caine/Luke)
Most characters are kids/teens, whose lives are in danger. They are all armed (Other kids in the FAYZ/Demigods)
Some people have superpowers, while others don’t (Freaks and normals/Demigods and mortals)
The main main main bad guy is a girl named Gaia who is really powerful. Gaia is defeated in the end
See? THEY ARE THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!
At first the 2 book series seem completely different: one is about kids with superpowers trapped in a dome trying to survive, and the other is about kids whose parents are Greek gods get hunted down by monsters (with a Great Prophecy to worry about, also). But, looking closer, they’re not that different

(HOW THE HECK DID MICHAEL GRANT LET BRIANNA THE BREEZE DIE?!?!!?!?!!? SHE WAS TOTALLY BOSS!!!! BRIANNA HAD SUPERSPEED AND WAS BRAVE AND AMAZING AND WAS WAY YOUNGER THAN THE OTHER MAIN CHARACTERS! AND SHE DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
